Usage Note 48525: SAS® Data Integration Studio performs a version check when you open a job

Starting with SAS Data Integration Studio 4.5, a version check occurs when you open a job. The behavior of the version check depends on the setting of the options:
- Display an error on newer job version
- Display a warning on older job version
These options are set on the Job Editor tab of the Options window.
Display an error on newer job version
When the option Display an error on newer job version is set, the following error occurs when you try to open a job with a SAS Data Integration Studio version that is earlier than the version in which the job was created:
When you click OK, the job closes.
When this option is not set, the following warning occurs:
When you click Yes, you are allowed to edit the job.
Display a warning on older job version
When the option Display a warning on older job version is set, the following warning occurs when you try to open a job with a SAS Data Integration Studio version that is later than the version in which the job was created.:
When you click Yes, you are allowed to edit the job.
When this option is not set, the job open without a warning.
Job Version Check in SAS® Data Integration Studio 4.21
SAS Data Integration Studio 4.21 has a new check that prevents users from opening jobs with a version that is greater than 4.21.
